  • Air Force transitions from CVR Teams to more secure systems

    Beginning June 15, Commercial Virtual Remote (CVR) Teams will no longer be an option within the Air Force, and all information stored in that system will go away. As the CVR environment goes away, the Air Force network version of Microsoft Teams – a separate application with slightly different capabilities – will be enhanced to be more like CVR.
  • Aeromedics “Reserve Ready” for the future

    Aeromedical evacuation squadrons from across the Air Force Reserve Command joined together to conduct aeromedical and aircraft familiarization training on the newest refueling airframe in the Air Force – the KC-46A Pegasus – creating the very first all-reserve crew to fly the next-generation aircraft. Over the course of three days, AE squadrons from the 446th Airlift Wing, 94th AW, 908th AW, and 927th Air Refueling Wing tested their medical proficiencies on the newest addition to the tanker fleet.

    Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Charles Q. Brown, Jr. recently signed perhaps the most sweeping change of Air Force basic doctrine in the service’s history, marking a major milestone in the service’s strategic approach to “Accelerate Change or Lose.”

    Beginning April 9, the Department of the Air Force will be seeking feedback through a survey for the second ongoing Inspector General Independent Disparity Review.
  • AFLCMC hosts Virtual Focus Week April 26-30

    The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center is hosting the second virtual Focus Week of 2021 from April 26-30. Focus week is an opportunity for personnel to complete mandatory and discretionary leadership and acquisition training and earn continuous learning points. Dozens of courses will be available, ranging from career and functional area-specific training and coaching to personal development classes.
  • Working group thoroughly studying IMA program

    Maj. Gen. Bryan Radliff, the mobilization assistant to the commander of First Air Force (Air Forces Northern) and the Continental U.S. North American Aerospace Defense Command Region, is leading a new working group charged with conducting a thorough study of Air Force Reserve Command’s Individual Mobilization Augmentee program.
