Reservists can send their name to the moon

NASA invites people of all ages to join the lunar exploration journey with an opportunity to send their names to the moon aboard the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter, or LRO, spacecraft. The LRO is scheduled for launch in late 2008. The Send Your Name to the Moon Web site enables everyone to participate

There is still time for 916th Reservists to make a contribution to the Air Force Assistance Fund campaign, which began Feb. 12 and ends May 4. As of April 15, this year's AFAF campaign is $2.2 million short of its $5.7 million goal.  The goal for members of the 916th Air Refueling Wing is $931.00.

 Air Force Junior ROTC is now able to hire Traditional Guardsmen and Reservists who have retired but are not yet drawing their retirement ("grey area" retirees). The passage of the 2007 National Defense Authorization Act allows AFJROTC to tap into the large pool of highly trained and motivated
