The Idaho Air and Army National Guard, along with local first responders, and the Boise airport, participate in a major accident response exercise July 21, 2017 at Gowen Field, Boise, Idaho. The MARE is one of several exercises planned in preparation for the Gowen Thunder Open House airshow and allows not only the Idaho National Guard to practice responding to a major accident, but also allows them to learn to work hand-in-hand with their civilian counterparts.
