Interview between Major General Peter Chiarelli, Commanding General of 1st Cavalry Division, in Baghdad and KBTX in College Station, TX. Says he was pleased to open a new medical clinic in a poor district of Baghdad. Says they are taking necessary actions against surges of violence in some areas of the city, but notes other areas of city are much better and that reconstruction will help quell violence. Talks of Iraqis wanting peace and hope - it's happening in some parts of Baghdad, and he wants to bring that to the rest of Baghdad. Says other projects, like a riverwalk, will help bring a sense of normality to people here.
