Sailor Returns To Haiti To Deliver Aid Again
Defense.gov
Oct. 13, 2016 | 1:15
Petty Officer William Holland, assigned to the amphibious transport dock ship USS Mesa Verde (LPD 19), explains the use of rigid hull inflatable boats (RHIB) as part of Joint Task Force-Matthew tasking. Holland was part of the 2010 disaster relief effort to Haiti and will use lessons learned during that event to help him lead in his role as coxswain. The role of Joint Task Force Matthew is to rapidly respond with critically-needed capabilities to deliver assistance and aid to areas the government of Haiti deems necessary. (U.S. Navy video by Petty Officer 2nd Class Ridge Leoni/Released)
