Warrior 10K

Sgt Spoor has competed all over, including during his deployment to Afghanistan.
Reporter:
And the race begins, as more than twenty area one soldiers take
Off during the warrior 10k at Camp Casey.
Reporter:
The route starts near the Hanson Field house and goes all the
Way to the Camp Hovey Library and back.
Reporter:
As I tried to keep pace with these runners, i caught up to a
Second Infantry Division Soldier from Headquarters and Head
Quarters battalion from Camp Red Cloud
Sb:
“this is my fourth race at Casey so far this year, I plan on doing one or two more before I leave here. It’s really the only way I can improve my running ability is by competing against other people.”
Reporter:
Sergeant Spoor is a natural at running. He keeps a steady
Stride showing his many years of experience.
Sb:
“I’ve ran my entire life, in high school I ran cross country,
It’s just a challenge i like to put myself through.”
Reporter:
Running was always a part of sergeant spoor’s life
Sb:
“my parents used to do running races and where in various
Running clubs.”
Reporter:
And he always tries to improve his personal time.
Sb:
I’ll try to get anywhere in the mid-40s for this race
Reporter:
When asked why he got up for this event he simply said
Sb:
I just enjoy running
Reporter:
Spoor finished the race with a great time and was able to place
Top three.
Sb:
It was pretty tough, i came in second, i tried to catch the
First place guy but he was to fast for me
