SOT The Preventive and Aerospace Medicine Team is designed to prevent Disease and Non-Battle Injuries (DNBI) which have historically had a significant impact on mission accomplishment in wartime/contingency operations. The Aerospace Medicine Physician provide basic essential medical care early in the deployment for deployed personnel until a Squadron Medical Element, an Air Transportable Clinic, or more definitive medical care such as an AFTH arrives. The Kansas PAM team deployed Nov. 7 in response to Hurricane Sandy relief efforts. They returned to Kansas on Nov. 18.
