Field Sanitation, Without Titles
Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa
March 29, 2012 | 1:08
Service members at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, gathered to learn field sanitation procedures for food, water and general medical safety. The course provides knowledge in proper food storage, water supply in the field and personal hygiene. This version does not include graphic titles. Also available in high definition. Staff Sergeant Andre Moxley, Preventive Medicine Non-Commissioned Officer: “The overall purpose of this course is to instruct a few individuals from each unit so that they can make recommendations to their commanders when they are deployed to the field, deployed to a field environment in reference to food sanitation, personal hygiene, arthropod born disease, water borne illnesses, etc.” Petty Officer Jeremy Brandt Reporting: Service members participated in scenarios they may encounter in the field to gain hands-on experience. Specialist Maricela Cardona, Student, 712 Military Police Company: “It benefits by training a lot of Soldiers, Airmen, Marines and whatnot, and them being able to go back to their units and cross-train their people.” Petty Officer Jeremy Brandt Reporting: Reporting from Combined Joint Task Force – Horn of Africa, I’m Petty Officer Jeremy Brandt.
