Aug. 24, 2020 | 4:46
U.S. Army Maj. Tyler Russell, a clinical psychologist and member of a behavioral health team assigned to support medical providers at Val Verde Regional Medical Center, Del Rio, Texas, discusses encouraging resiliency, mental health, and overcoming operational stress during the COVID-19 pandemic, Aug. 24, 2020. The medical providers, assigned to U.S. Navy Rural Rapid Response Team One, are providing support to hospital staff. The behavioral health team provides activities to help the Sailors manage stress. As part of its commitment to resiliency, U.S. Army North deployed several religious support and behavioral health teams throughout Texas. U.S. Northern Command, through U.S. Army North, remains committed to providing flexible Department of Defense support to the Federal Emergency Management Agency in support of the whole-of-America COVID-19 response.
