Gema Bhakti 2018 - Joint Multi-national Staff Planning Exercise -package

Members of the Hawaii Army and Air National Guard and Soldiers, Sailers, Marines and Airmen from commands thought out the United State Indo-Pacific Area of Command recently participated is a joint staff military planning exercise known as Gema Bhakti with the members of the Indonesian Military. During Gema Bhakti military staff from the U.S. Indo-PACOM and Indonesia work through a process known as the military decision making process.

During Gema Bhakti participants start off attending lectures on the military decision making process. The group then split into planning cells to perform mission analysis after they are given this years scenario, and finally craft an execution order.

This is the 5th iteration of Gema Bhakti, and it is the most complex military scenario that has been presented to the teams for them to craft a plan to solve.

Even though the Joint multi-national planning teams have been focusing on planning for a fictional military action, Gema Bhakti has provided real world military benefits.

Throughout the event relationships have been built as culture differences have been overcome from country to country and service to service.

overall the Gema Bhakti staff planning exercise has made both the U.S and Indonesian militaries better prepared to respond to real world event.
