Pilot shot down over USSR awarded Silver Star posthumously

Chief of Staff of the Air Force awarded Capt Francis Gary Powers the Silver Star posthumously in a ceremony Friday at the Pentagon. Powers, flying a U-2 for the CIA at the time, was shot over the Soviet Union in the late 1950s.
