Exercise Sunshine Rescue 2023

The Georgia National Guard’s 165th Air Support Operations Squadron participated in Exercise Sunrise Rescue in January. During the exercise Tactical Ground Control Party Airmen communicated with HH-60 Pave Hawk helicopters and A-10C Thunderbolt II aircraft to conduct simulated rescue missions in contested environments. Sunshine Rescue is a National Guard Bureau event hosted by the Savannah Combat Readiness Training Center that trains Airmen on leading-edge combat search and rescue capabilities. (Video by Tech. Sgt.
