One of the first chalks of 944th Fighter Wing Reserve Citizen Airmen arrives at Gila Bend Air Force Auxiliary Field in Gila Bend, Ariz., Nov. 14, 2024. Chalks refers to group of service members and is a critical part of military transportation operations, allowing service members to be quickly and efficiently transported to their destination. They are used for combat operations, training exercises, and humanitarian missions.
