A U.S. Air Force KC-46A Pegasus takes off for the Air Force's 5000th KC-46 sortie at McConnell Air Force Base, Kansas, June 30, 2021. Two high-bypass turbofans power the KC-46A to takeoff at gross weights up to 415,000 pounds.
