From Afghanistan to Switzerland, Reservist shares and learns valuable lessons
SEYMOUR JOHNSON AIR FORCE BASE, N.C. -- Capt. Neil Chandler (sitting), a Reservist with the 916th Logistics Readiness Squadron, participates in some classroom discussion while attending the International Junior Officers Leadership Development Seminar in Switzerland. Capt. Chandler was one of 68 officers chosen for the opportunity from the U.S., Sweden, Italy, Canada, Switzerland, the U.K., Germany and the Netherlands. The course lasts one week and focuses on various leadership topics within an international military community. Capt. Chandler returned from a six-month deployment to Afghanistan earlier this year where he was recognized for his outstanding leadership abilities as company grade officer of the quarter while stationed there.
