A time-honored tradition continues for deployed firefighters

SEYMOUR JOHNSON AIR FORCE BASE, N.C. -- Tech. Sgt. Michael Wenthe (center) raises the American flag at his duty location in Balad. Sgt. Wenthe is a member of the 916th Civil Engineer Squadron and is currently deployed to Iraq as the non-commissioned officer in charge of fire training. Nearly 30 civil engineer members left their Reserve wing in North Carolina in early January.
