Engineering squadron converts to new mission
SEYMOUR JOHNSON AIR FORCE BASE, N.C. -- The 916th Civil Engineer Squadron ended its illustrious history during the December unit training assembly. The squadron is converting to the 567th RED HORSE under 10th Air Force. The new squadron will set up in mid-January and is responsible for rapidly deploying heavy engineering assets and members across the globe. The 916th Civil Engineer Squadron will become a flight with fewer than 30 members while the 567th RED HORSE will employ more than 100.
