101 training helps council get off the ground
SEYMOUR JOHNSON AIR FORCE BASE, N.C. -- Col. Keith Kries (right), vice commander for 4th Air Force, talks with Master Sgt. Rodney Hage from headquarters Air Force Reserve Command. Sergeant Hage handles the Human Resource Development Council for the command and was at the 916th Air Refueling Wing to deliver HRDC 101 training to nearly 20 reservists. The training focused on basic functions of running an HRDC council such as charters, diversity, history of the program, outreach efforts, marketing and structure. The 916th established a council many years ago, but more recently has become active in developing the council role's in the wing and furthering its goals. The council taps into existing programs to better support wing members and supports the wing commander in force development, diversity, mentoring, retention, recruiting, community outreach, assignments and promotion opportunities.
