Reserve commander briefs community on status of wing
SEYMOUR JOHNSON AIR FORCE BASE, N.C. -- Col. Fritz Linsenmeyer, commander of the 916th Air Refueling Wing, Air Force Reserve, addresses membership of the Wayne County commuity during the bi-monthly base community council luncheon in late September. The Base Community Council includes representatives from the city, county and base to maintain continuous working partnerships between the military and the citizens of Goldsboro and Wayne County. Membership consists of 25 community and 22 senior Air Force representatives. The BCC encourages every major phase of community living and contributes to the mutual adjustment and benefit of the military and civilian neighbors. Meetings are held third Thursday of every other month while alternating hosting the luncheon between the county, base and city. The 4th Fighter Wing commander,916th commander, mayor of Goldsboro and chairman of the Wayne County Board of Commissioners serve as permanent co-chairmen and address the group at each meeting.
