42,000 football fans participate in enlistment
SEYMOUR JOHNSON AIR FORCE BASE, N.C. -- Col. Fritz Linsenmeyer (front left) swears in nine new recruits to the 916th Air Refueling Wing during the East Carolina University football game. The mass enlistment was part of a nation-wide Air Force Reserve Command Recruiting initiative held Oct. 1-14. More than 42,000 fans were in attendance at the game against the University of Central Florida and witnessed the oath of enlistment being administered. Col. Linsenmeyer is the wing commander of the 916th Air Refueling Wing. He was joined on the field by Command Chief Master Sgt. Boltinhouse, a current student at ECU and the recruiters.
