The 916th Air Refueling Wing, Air Force Reserve, and the Eastern North Carolina Region of the American Red Cross have teamed up to provide a permanent location for their new American Red Cross-Seymour Johnson field office. A ribbon cutting ceremony to officially open the office took place Aug. 9th at 10 a.m.

Col. Greg Gilmour, commander of the 916th Air Refueling Wing, spoke about the great things the American Red Cross does for those who wear the uniform and their families.

"This is an excellent opportunity for the 916th to team up with the American Red Cross," said  Gilmour. "They do a lot of great things for us. We're happy to welcome you to your new home."

The new office will provide Armed Forces Core Services to the men and women of Seymour Johnson and surrounding area. These services include education, information, referrals, family resiliency programming, and emergency services. The office is staffed Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. as well as Saturdays of the January, April, July, and October UTA weekends.
