More than 40 recipients were honored. Master Sgt. Beverly Hoskins, Tech. Sgt. Kendal White, Tech. Sgt. Ian Gardner, Tech. Sgt. Rodney Bati, and Senior Airman Nicole Rose helped welcome guests, pin purple heart boutonnieres on the recipients, serve dinner, and clean up at the end of the event. The evening held a lot of meaning for the troops who participated. "I was honored to be a part of the event," said Bati. "It's humbling to see and it's important to recognize those individuals. It's important for us to give back to the community and honor those veterans who've served before us."
