The Human Resource Development Council hosts a speed mentoring opportunity for airmen. During this event, the mentees ask Air Force related questions to the mentors.

Capt. Craig Stokes, vice-chair of the HRDC, explains reasons for the speed mentoring event. Senior Airman Nicole Rose, with the 916th Operations Support Squadron, also shares her experiences.

"The HRDC puts on events that we think will help build the relationships with members of the wing and to encourage people to use the HRDC as a liaison between you and the wing commander. The commander has this program in place so that he knows what's going on...what needs to be fixed, what's working, what's not. It relates to the human resource which is the people. The people of the wing are the human resource, that's our most valuable commodity, if you will," said Stokes.

"I think it's a great opportunity to not only meet the different people we have here in the wing, but also, if you have a question about something or need guidance, it helps to know which person you can go to. You do not have to have just one mentor, you can have a bunch of mentors, depending on what specifically you want to be mentored on," said Rose.

"I would just say get involved with the HRDC, bring someone else along if you are already a member of the council and together we can change the human resources here at the 916th," said Stokes.
