Losing weight and feeling great! Members of the 916th Air Refueling Wing started the "Biggest Loser" weight loss contest earlier this year. Col. Caroline Evernham, Operations Group commander and Master Sgt. David Nickel, 916th Force Support Squadron sustainment flight manager were named the winners in December, after a final weigh-in.

"The unit fitness program managers want to promote fitness by making it more fun so people will look at fitness in a positive way," said Senior Master Sgt. Lorraine Benn, 916th Intelligence unit fitness program manager. "We hope to put out more programs for people to get involved and challenge each other with different contests."

Master Sgt. Danielle Downs, 916th Force Support Squadron unit training manager, and a participant in the Biggest Loser contest, shared her experience.

"It was wonderful! It helped me maintain my healthy weight," she said. "I felt better and looked better in my clothes especially during the challenges of the holidays."

"Our long term goal is to not only promote fitness but to keep health and fitness in the forefront of everyone's minds," said Tech. Sgt. Daniel Drake, wing fitness program manager.

There were 60 participants in the challenge to reach the cumulative weight loss goal of 916 pounds.
