Wing welcomes new commanders

The 916th Air Refueling Wing welcomed new personnel into three key leadership positions here over the February drill weekend.

Col. Anthony Polashek took command of the 916th Operations Group as Col. Caroline Evernham moves on to become the OG commander at Joint Base Charleston, S.C.

Col. Polashek comes from Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey, where he has served as the OG deputy commander, since Nov. 2011.

Col. Stephen Irvin took command of the 916th Aerospace Medicine Squadron as Col. Eduardo San Miguel prepares for his upcoming retirement from the Air Force Reserve.

Col. Irvin has served here as the chief of aerospace medicine, since May 2011.

Maj. Shannon Mann assumed command of the 916th Force Support Squadron.

Of the new commanders, Mann is the most familiar here at the 916th; she has served in the wing since Aug. 2004.
