Have you ever wondered what makes people tick? The Human Resource Development Council hosted a seminar to assist Airmen with the answer to this question.

Jason Gunnarson, community readiness consultant with the Airmen Family and Readiness Center at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, held a Four Lenses seminar in April at the Woods Auditorium with Airmen of the 916th Air Refueling Wing.

"The goal is to help people better understand how to improve relationships and to be able to identify other personalities they work with," said Gunnarson.

Master Sgt. Nelson Ajagbawa, 916th ARW Command Post, participated in the seminar and expressed how beneficial he thought the seminar was to him.

"I think it's a useful tool to figure out people's temperament so that I can be a better leader to foster better relationships," said Ajagbawa.

"Our climate assessment informed us there's a need to help people understand themselves and the people they are supervising so they can be better leaders," said Capt. Craig Stokes, HRDC vice-chair, who also attended the seminar.

Four Lenses is one of many personality tests used to promote awareness in organizations among colleagues in the work place. The Four Lenses seminar was the last event the HRDC will host. An estimated 50 Airmen from all over the wing attended this two-session seminar.

"I hope the participants get something they can not only apply to the military but to their personal relationships as well," said Stokes. "Something that helps them work better with each other to ensure the mission gets accomplished."
