On a sunny spring day, many of us with office jobs wouldn't mind trading our desk chairs for a hard hat and work gloves. During the March and April drill weekends, reservists from the 916th Force Support Squadron got to do just that.

In Debden Park, members of the personnel and sustainment flights completed their annual shelter setup training, which is a new responsibility for the personnel flight.

"It is part of our deployment training," said Master Sgt. Jill Weissflog, FSS chief of personnel readiness. "If we deploy to a bare base, personnel and sustainment flights need to know how to put a shelter up."

Although FSS flights are maintaining proficiency in tent set-up, members of the 567th Red Horse Squadron are experts in the process and were present to provide assistance.

"It's very helpful to have Red Horse members here," said Senior Master Sgt. Adolphus Grisby Jr., 916th Sustainment Flight superintendent. "This training also provides a great opportunity for the personnel and sustainment flights to work together."

"There is a great sense of teamwork here," said Weissflog. "And I think we're all enjoying this chance to work outside and get some fresh air."

The next shelter setup training is scheduled for this September.
