The 916th Air Refueling Wing saw a very busy August drill weekend; with many new faces, changes in key personnel and at least one fond farewell.

New personnel officially took command of two squadrons and one flight; Lt. Col. Gregory Lassere, 77th Air Refueling Squadron; Maj. Kristin Brockshus, 916th Logistics Readiness Squadron; and Maj. Oliver George, 916th Civil Engineer Flight.

While Brockshus and George are new to Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, Lassere is a familiar face; he has served in the 77th ARS since 2007.

The 916th LRS did gain a new commander, but the squadron will unfortunately say goodbye to Senior Master Sgt. Donna Lorenz, 916th logistics plans superintendent, who will soon retire after more than 30 years of service to the U.S. Air Force.
