The 2015 Grantham Grange Military Member of the Year Award was presented to Senior Airman Nicole Rose, 916th Operations Support Squadron, at the Grantham Grange fourth annual Community Service Awards, April 27, 2015 in Goldsboro, North Carolina.

Besides being a top performer in the U.S. Air Force Reserve, Rose wanted to be a part of her community and to help others.  To fulfill this desire to be more deeply connected and do more for people she volunteered for the Grantham Grange, a grassroots community service, family oriented organization with a special interest in agriculture.

Rose attended the event with her husband Joel and his parents because she was told her father-in-law was being recognized.  She was completely surprised at being selected.  "I had no idea that I was going to be receiving an award.  I love this community and was delighted to volunteer with the Grange," said Rose.  "They all mean so much to me."

Grantham Grange President, Bobby R. Crawford, a military retiree himself with 36 years of service in the U.S. Army, presented Rose with the award Monday night at Selah Christian Church.

"We are proud of SrA Rose for her support and volunteerism this past year."  Crawford said the Grantham Grange organization is designed to help meet the needs of people, both young and old, through a cooperative effort with government and with other organizations that also seek the greatest good for the greatest number.  "

We welcome all volunteers who want to join the Grantham Grange," Crawford said.
