916th Air Refueling Wing Deserving Airmen Board

The 916th ARW LRS will conduct a Deserving Airman Board in April 2019 for a 21R-Logistics Readiness Officer position.  This is a great opportunity for any of you that meet the requirements and are looking to expand your military career through commissioning.  Should you have any questions concerning this opportunity to apply, please reach out to your supervisor or the POC below.  Best of luck to the applicants, details on the board below.


Packages are due by COB 10 March 2019 and board interviews will be conducted during April UTA.



  1. Must be a US citizen or lawfully admitted to the US for permanent residence IAW DoDI 1304.26
  2. Must have high moral conduct and character
  3. Must be able to graduate from OTS before age 40 birthdate
  4. Must be medically qualified and meet AF fitness requirements   
  5. Must not have been dis-enrolled from a military service academy or any officer training program
  6. Must possess a baccalaureate from an educational institution listed in the Accredited Institutions of Post–Secondary Education listing. Provide official college transcript with package.
  7. Must have a minimum passing AFOQT score at the time of the officer board interview or within 60 days of the board interview
  8. Must obtain a written recommendation from their immediate supervisor and endorsement by their commander
  9. Must submit a letter on why they want to become an officer
  10. Must submit last 3 EPRs
  11.  Must provide a typed resume
  12. If selected, agree, in writing, to attend Basic Officer Training (BOT), a 13-week pre-commissioning course held at Maxwell AFB, AL. within 6 months of selection or first available class date.
  13. Agree to serve attend 6 week LRO school with 6 months of commissioning.
  14. Serve a minimum of two years with the 916 LRS


All Packages will be vetted by MPS prior to board interviews.
