The second 13-man team arrived at Ramstein Air Base, Germany in late July. They received orientation training and began work with the 435th Security Forces Squadron in early August.

Part of the Kaiserslautern Military Community, Ramstein Air Base serves as headquarters for U.S. Air Forces in Europe (USAFE) and is also a North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) installation. Ramstein is located near the town of Ramstein, in the rural district of Kaiserslautern, Germany.

Besides Americans, the installation's population is comprised of Canadian, German, British, French, Belgian, Polish, Czech, Norwegian, Danish and Dutch forces. Members of the 916th Security Forces Squadron integrated with the 435th Security Forces Squadron and perform entry control, base patrol and security duties alongside their active duty counterparts and the German civilian police who are the equivalent to DoD police at stateside bases.

Along with routine responses, 916th security personnel made numerous medical responses and at least one assault investigation that carried over to Landstuhl Regional Medical Center. In addition to the 11 members that went to work on the flight level, Senior Master Sgt.  Jefforey Williams and Master Sgt. Justin Patton filled staff positions that were vacant and for which the 435th  had a need.

SergeantPatton assisted the interim 435th SFS First Sergeant.  Sergeant Williams assisted the squadron with an upcoming unit compliance inspection, helping the StanEval section with revisions to their training exercise evaluation uutlines and supporting the training section with cross tell information from Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.

Along with carrying out the mission, members of the 916th SFS have also been able to experience some of the European sights and culture with trips to scenic Landstuhl, Kaiserslautern, Heidelberg, and Trier.
