Seymour Johnson evacuates jets in preparation for Hanna Published Sept. 3, 2008 SEYMOUR JOHNSON AIR FORCE BASE, N.C. -- Officials are preparing to evacuate approximately 80 F-15E Strike Eagles and three KC-135R Stratotankers to Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio on Thursday in response to the threat of high winds associated with Hurricane Hanna. Four additional stratotankers will be sent Grissom Air Reserve Base, Ind. Base personnel should prepare for a hurricane watch to include high winds, possible flooding and tornadoes.
