Chaplains offer deployment presentation on family day Published Sept. 30, 2008 By Maj. Carol Yeager 916th Chaplain Office SEYMOUR JOHNSON AIR FORCE BASE, N.C. -- Family Day at the 916TH Air Refueling Wing is always a great time for the families of our Airmen to see firsthand what their loved one spends his or her time doing while serving in the Reserve. It is also a time to relax with co-workers and for all of us to recognize and appreciate the sacrifices our reservists and families make on a regular basis. One of those sacrifices includes time spent apart. In today's Air Force deployments and temporary duty tours are a part of the normal routine. However, those times still pose unique challenges to our families, both while we are gone and when we return. This family day, Sat. Oct. 4th at 10am in the Base Community Center there will be a presentation by the chaplains and 4th Fighter Wing Family Services for our family members to learn about deployment and redeployment stress and some ways to cope with it. Everyone is welcome to attend.
