Members of the 916th Air Refueling Wing surpassed all expectations for giving to the annual Air Force Assistance Fund drive this year.

The Reserve wing raised more than 160 percent of their goal by collecting $6,887.00. The goal was to collect $4108.00.

"It's a true demonstration of the generosity of the Air Force family," said Capt. Aaron Beam, 911th Air Refueling Squadron representative and co-coordinator of the 916th fundraising efforts.

The combined efforts of the 916th ARW and the 4th Fighter Wing helped the fund raise more than $75,000 at Seymour Johnson, exceeding the base goal by 10 percent. The fund supports active duty, Guard, Reserve, retirees, dependents and surviving spouses in need.

"Thank you all for your hard work and the units participation in this great fundraiser," said Tech. Sgt. Sharon Loring, the other 916th ARW co-coordinater. "Your contributions made this campaign an overwhelming success."
