Reserve Officer Association moves to one convention

in July, the Reserve Officer Association held its last summer convention at the World Marriott in Orlando, Florida.

The association, which usually holds two conventions each year, faces the reality of hard economic times as well facing budget constraints and dwindling membership.

The notable mid-winter convention, held each February in Washington, DC, will become the single, annual ROA convention.

Capt Shelley LeVan, 916th Air Refueling Wing Equal Opportunity director, attended the final summer convention as a North Carolina delegate voting on resolutions that go before Congress in the upcoming year. Capt LeVan is the NC ROA newsletter editor as well as the local chapter president.
