Wing hosts first Fun Run

Nearly 40 reservists of the 916th Air Refueling Wing participated in the wing's first Fun Run on Sunday, Oct. 4.

Organizers wanted a way for wing members to exercise together, building morale while building cardiovascular skills. Members from all across the wing appeared near the Oak Forest Gate and walked and ran two miles along the perimeter of the fence line.

Senior Master Sgt. Dana Bates, air crew flight equipment superintendent, said she hopes this will become a regular event in which the wing runs as a whole in squadrons.

The next wing run will be scheduled in the spring as the weather starts to turn warmer.
