Guam deployers support coastal clean-up

Airmen deployed to Guam from the 916th Air Refueling Wing have found a way to give back to the beautiful island they've called home for the last couple months.

Shortly before Typhoon Melor hit, nine members of maintenance and operations participated in an annual coastal cleanup of Asan Beach. The beach has historical significance as it was used as a landing beach during the invasion of Guam during World War II. Volunteers picked up debris for a day helping beautify the area and give back to the community.

Maintainers and crews have been primarily busy supporting the bomber mission in the Pacific, but giving back to the community during their off-duty time helps the time go by a bit faster. Deployed Airmen begin returning in early November.
