Open ranks open to all Published March 22, 2010 SEYMOUR JOHNSON AIR FORCE BASE, N.C. -- A logistics Reservist was able to show off his 'Sunday best' during a recent class A inspection at his stateside location. Senior Airman John Steinbeck is filling an active duty tour with the Personnel Force Integration office at the Defense Finance and Accounting Agency in Indianapolis, Ind. Airman Steinbeck is serving as a database developer and programmer. Once a year, the Army members assigned there hold a class A open ranks inspection, this year leadership thought it would be a good idea to include Air Force Guard and Reservists as well and then opened the inspection for all DoD employees to view. "It was a rare opportunity for them to see an official inspection and an award ceremony," said Airman Steinbeck.
