Armed and dangerous Published June 8, 2010 SEYMOUR JOHNSON AIR FORCE BASE, N.C. -- 916th Security Forces worked long, hard hours defending their base during Operation Readiness Safeguard this week. Reservists set up defensive fighting positions, protected the gate and flightline and worked as part of the Emergency Operations Center. Nearly 700 active duty and Reserve Airmen from across the state of North Carolina and other bases deployed together to Volk Field, Wisconsin, June 2-9, to practice and train in their warfighting skills. This training helps prepare the wings for an Operational Readiness Inspection scheduled for early 2011.
