Best of 33 Published June 28, 2010 SEYMOUR JOHNSON AIR FORCE, N.C. -- On the heels of a highly sucessful Nuclear Operational Readiness Inspection, the 916th came out of top again this week. The Tarheel tanker wing was just named Outstanding Air Force Reserve Unit of the Year by the Air Force Association. "Out of the 33 wings in the Air Force Reserve you are the best," said Col. Randy Ogden, 916th Air Refueling Wing commander. Last year was a whirlwind year for the wing, and the accolades keep on coming. From receiving high inspection marks to winning four trophies at AMC's RODEO to earning the Gen. Carl Spaatz trophy, and being named an Air Force Outstanding Unit, now the latest in recognition and praise. "The Premier Refueling Wing continues to receive accolades for all of your accomplishments," said Col. Ogden. Wing leadership will be presented with the award during the annual Air Force Association convention held in Washington, D.C. in September.
