Fun and games Published June 30, 2010 SEYMOUR JOHNSON AIR FORCE BASE, N.C. -- So how does a new wing commander celebrate knowing that his unit is the first to get an exceptional grade on a no-notice nuclear inspection? Well, the gratuitous Disney World vacation could come into play here, however Col. Randy Ogden chose to work instead...well kind of. Col. Ogden almost immediately followed the Air Mobility Command inspectors off-base, but he wasn't going on vacation. He and his wife, Donita, were headed for Charlotte to participate in 916th's and 440th's Yellow Ribbon Reintegration event at the Ballantyne resort. The weekend was filled with greetings and briefings, but the official duties also extended to allow the new commander to have a little fun. He welcomed everyone during an ice-breaker on the first night and on the second evening he was honored by throwing out the first pitch at the Charlotte Knights baseball game. So while the NORI might not have been all fun and games, at least we know he can still make time to slip that into his busy schedule as well.
