On Saturday, Sept. 11 Mark Falgout ABC 11-WTVD news producer came here to conduct interviews with Airmen from the 916th Air Refueling Wing and the 567th RED HORSE units.

He came for a story about two brothers who have bonded through running and a mother whose love prompted her to rejoin the armed services.

Capt. Christopher Woofter and Tech. Sgt. Stephen Woofter, two brothers who are part of the 567th RED HORSE Squadron and 916th Intelligence Flight, shared with Falgout their experiences running together. Through constant dialogue they discussed their past and future running events that have made their relationship as brothers grow. From their interview anyone can hear the love and respect they have for one another and can enjoy the jokes they juggle back and forth as brothers who have made a decision to continue running together for a long time.

The brothers also mentioned how supportive their family members are with their participation in marathons. They shared with Falgout one of the quilts their mother created out of the shirts they have worn at each event.

Before the interview was over they showed off their "Team Seymour" jerseys and did not hesitate to inform everyone watching that they plan to run the Air Force Marathon on Sept.18 in Ohio.

Falgout later interviewed Staff Sgt. Michele Norris of the 916th Maintenance Group, a mother who made a decision to rejoin the armed forces after the death of her son Jeremy Norris in Iraq in 2005. Sgt. Norris is now known as Gold Star mother for her sacrifice, but you can also know the pride, devotion and honor she feels when she talks about her son and his service. She talked to Falgout about some of the characteristics of her son that made him special in her life. She mentions how his energy, determination and perseverance benefited him in the military. Even though her son is gone he has not been forgotten. Sgt. Norris gives her love to her son even now.

Her son was one of the stars in her life; as all sons and daughters do, he made her proud, she said.

The Woofter interview aired on Friday, Sept 16 at 6 p.m. and the Norris interview airs on Friday, Oct. 1 during the 6 p.m. newscast. Interviews can be found on WTVD ABC-11's website at: http://abclocal.go.com/wtvd/channel?section=resources/lifestyle_community/community&id=7467268
