Festive and fun: 911th celebrates the season in style

If you ever thought that the Airmen of the 911th Air Refueling Squadron were all work and no play, well you just haven't seen them during the month of December.

Members of the active associate gathered for their annual Christmas party of Dec. 11 in downtown Goldsboro and merriment and glee seemed to be rampant among the party-goers.

One hundred and fifty people joined in the festivities that included games and prizes and a few moments of silence to honor those not there.

Highlights from the evening included Master Sgt. Angela Gibson impersonating Santa, Staff Sgt. Chris Yontz trying his hand at being Santa's elf, and Master Sgt. John Ross showing his popularity by winning the most votes to portray the Nutcracker's Sugar Plum Fairy.

Lt. Col. Bruce Heseltine, commander of the 911th, thanked his Airmen for a year of hard work and thanked the leadership of the 916th Air Refueling Wing for all their support. Near the end of the evening he presented Col. Randy Ogden, 916th commander, with a 911th nametag, making him an honorary member of the squadron.
