Five past and present 567th RED HORSE Squadron reservists attended the combined promotion and change of command ceremony for Col. Kerri O. Grimes on March 5, 2011.

Col Grimes was the commander of the 916th Civil Engineer Squadron from December 2005 through July 2008. She was instrumental in standing down the squadron and helping stand up the 567th RED HORSE Squadron, and completing the initial design of the $6 million dollar RED HORSE Squadron renovations.

Col. Grimes assumed command of the 440th Mission Support Group, Pope Field, N.C. Nearly 500 reservists comprise the 440th Mission Support Group and its staff agencies. Among the speakers at the ceremony were Col. Merle D. Hart, commander, 440th Airlift Wing and Col. John P. Stokes, vice commander.
