Spouse appreciation day showcases Team Seymour

We couldn't do it without them.

Military spouses keep the homefires burning when Seymour Johnson Airmen are gone. They endure endless deployments and inspections. They're asked to uproot for quick moves and put on a good game face in trying times. They are the backbone of our active duty and Reserve Airmen.

On May 26, Seymour Johnson took time to thank them for all they do.

Fourth Fighter Wing spouses were invited to fly aboard a KC-135R Stratotanker as it refueled F-15Es from here. In addition, two 916th spouses were invited to take a taxi ride in a Strike Eagle to see the fighter up close and personal.

Mrs. Donita Ogden, wife of 916th Commander Col. Randy Ogden, and Mrs. Angela Draper, wife of Capt. Robert Draper, 911th Air Refueling Squadron pilot, were chosen for the taxi rides. Mrs. Ogden was personally invited by Mrs. Doherty, wife of 4th FW Commander Col. Patrick Doherty.

The day included other activities around the base, but the flight and taxi rides were definite highlights for spouses that do so much for Team Seymour.
