If you've been wondering how they are doing since they deployed in September, we'll let the recent awards speak for themselves.

Reservists with the 567th RED HORSE Squadron are showing their counterparts in Afghanistan what they are made of, a lot of superior performers.

Senior Airman Ethan Fink won the Workhorse of the Month award at the 809th Expeditionary RED HORSE Squadron in Kandahar. Fink took the reigns upon assignment and quickly managed the on-time redeployment of cargo and personnel. His accountability reports have been timely and 100% accurate. In addition Fink has shown himself to be a true coalition partner helping with improve relationships with various U.S. and NATO logistics agencies on-base.

Staff Sergeant Rodney Isbell, a vehicle maintenance journeyman assigned to the 567th RED HORSE and working with the 809th Expeditionary RED HORSE Squadron was named NCO of the Month for October. Isbell has briefed and trained personnel on 19 various Air Force Specialty Code items. He has saved thousands of dollars by helping to rewire electrical systems and ensured zero mishaps in the shop for the month. In addition, Isbell quickly accepted the role of alternate safety manager and showed his community service spirit by participating in Kandahar's Breast Cancer Awareness 5K.

Finally, reservists from Seymour Johnson are showing they don't just do it alone, they work as a team. Tech. Sgt. Kevin Keith, 567th RED HORSE, helped his fellow Kandahar Airlfields pavement and equipment craftsmen win the Team of the Month Award for October. These RED HORSE engineers helped the base save $33,000 through their rapid equipment response. They also helped alleviate a flooding issue for the Army and rescued a contractor.
