For one week in July it was all lights, camera, action at the 916th Air Refueling Wing.

The 916th Public Affairs Office enlisted the support of 2nd Combat Camera at Hill Air Force Base, Utah to help them re-vamp the wing's mission video. Hill Airmen supported the 916th in 2005 when the video was last remade.

"Uniforms changed, organizational structure changed and many faces changed," said Maj. Shannon Mann, chief of public affairs. "It was time for a new video."

Nearly every wing function and squadron was filmed in mid-July, but unfortunately a deployment a few weeks before the video shoot meant that several Reserve maintainers and operators would be unavailable to be filmed when the Hill team was here, but with some outreach it all worked out.

"The public affairs team at Incirlik has been a key player in this," said Mann. "We actually had about seven different videographers from my staff, 4th Fighter Wing public affairs, Incirlik public affairs and Hill working on this project together. It was a huge undertaking to get all the shots we needed to make an 11-minute video."

Mann hopes the video will be ready for its debut when the Compliance Inspection Team arrives in December.

"Hill has a large job in sifting through the footage, recording the script and then going through the edits with us to ensure its what the commander wants," Mann said. "This video will be shown to all our visitors for the next several years, so we want to make sure it's done right and not rushed."
