Safety office launches annual game to focus on risk management

SEYMOUR JOHNSON AIR FORCE BASE, N.C. -- The 916th Safety Office is launching its third annual Risk Management Game.

In year's past, the game centered around a character known as the Unsafe Rocker to help reservists, Airmen and their families understand and practice operational risk management using a bit of humor and a few awards to get the point across.

This year the Rocker retired, but he left behind his cousin Bubba to carry on the tradition.

Bubba's photo can be found on the wing's Facebook page. Entries to the contest must include a writeup focusing on the risk management principles being used or abused in the photo and an understanding of the five-step risk management principles used to mitigate risk. Use of humor is an added bonus.

Entries are due to Lt. Col. Matt Young by Nov. 1 and awards will be presented during the November Unit Training Assembly Weekend.
