Tech. Sgt. Sa'maad Bynum, 916th Air Refueling Wing historian, was recently credited for his contributions to the e-publication "Turning Point 9.11: Air Force Reserve in the 21st Century, 2001-2011" with three of his articles in print and acknowledgement from the lead author.

Bynum was invited to work on the project in 2008 by the Air Force Reserve Command History Office.

His articles focused on the events that unfolded on September 11, 2001 and the Air Force Reserve's involvement.

"I hope that this publication gives everyone an opportunity to see that reservists are as qualified and skilled as their active-duty counterparts when given the opportunity to demonstrate," he said.

Published in September 2012, this e-publication highlights the contributions Air Force reservists made, and continue to make, to the security of the United States and world through total force integration.
