4FSS is Transforming - Club Business is closing, effective March 31. Published Feb. 15, 2013 4th Force Support Squadron SEYMOUR JOHNSON AIR FORCE BASE, N.C. -- In the current fiscal environment and to better meet the needs of Team Seymour, the 4th Force Support Squadron is transforming Heritage Hall into a community event center and moving away from the traditional Air Force club membership program, effective March 31. Heritage Hall will serve as a multi-functional facility with increased opportunities for community events such as parties, wedding receptions and promotions. Outside catering will also be available. "This initiative will allow us to focus on our military community and their quality of life while being fiscally responsible," said Col. Brent Moran, 4th Mission Support Group commander. "This community center will provide a relaxed, professional environment where service members, their families and base personnel can come together and enjoy themselves outside of work." Simply Seymour's restaurant will no longer exist, but the Kitty Hawk Lounge and barbershop will remain open. Eventually Eagles Landing will house several other activities for one-stop shopping. Since there will no longer be a club operation, dues will not be required and members will have the option of retaining their club credit card or cancelling it. Results from recent 4th FSS focus groups and surveys contributed to this decision. Despite the upcoming changes, excellent customer service will always remain our focus, said Candace Marriner, 4th FSS marketing director. Heritage Hall is closed for renovations until July 2013; in the meantime, Eagle's Landing will serve as the community event center for special functions. Questions can be directed to 722-5313/7154
